Remodeling Industry Recognizes Young Leader
Opportunities Abound in Remodeling
“I love this industry,” commented Neil Bubel, CR, CRPM, UDCP, recognized as one of ProRemodeler Magazine’s 2019 40 Under 40. “I started working for Rebuilding Together Dallas and that’s when I was first introduced to NARI.” Rebuilding Together North Texas has been a member of NARI North Texas for more than 13 years. Through that membership, Neil had an opportunity to network with other remodelers in the Greater Dallas area.
NARI Certification Recognizes Knowledge
Eventually Neil took advantage of the Universal Design Certified Professional(Opens in a new window) (UDCP) certification process and received his first certification in September of 2013. Knowing more about accessibility and universal design best practices gave Neil the opportunity to incorporate safety and comfort into the work Rebuilding Together North Texas delivered. Getting involved in NARI also opened his eyes to the possibility of a broader career in remodeling. This led him to Traver Construction. Working hand-in-hand with owner Doug Traver, MCR, CKBR, Neil brings a level of energy and enthusiasm to every project. Through Doug’s mentorship, Neil has gone on to achieve NARI Certified Remodeler Project Manager(Opens in a new window) (CRPM) in 2014 and his Certified Remodeler(Opens in a new window) (CR) designation in 2018.
Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award for Remodeling Excellence
“I love what I’m doing. This year Traver Construction entered the local and national CotY Awards and was recognized as a 2019 NARI North Texas and Regional CotY Award Winner in the Residential Bath – $25,000 – $50,000 category.”
The project featured many universal design features which improved the safety, comfort and joy for our clients. Features included a frameless, curbless shower which provides accessibility while increasing the bathroom’s beauty.
“NARI is a powerful resource for our industry. I am fortunate to have experienced all that NARI has to offer early in my career,” Neil commented. “I am proud to serve as Chair of the NARI National Marketing and Communications Committee. This year the committee is working hard to increase broad awareness of NARI – especially for younger professionals in remodeling.”
As one of the youngest NARI members to serve on the National Board of Directors, Neil sees NARI’s value beyond education. “Volunteering and serving on committees for NARI of Greater Dallas and the National Marketing Communications Committee have proven valuable as I continue to build my remodeling career.”
